Chetna Welfare Society (Regd.), an NGO (non-profit non-governmental organization) was founded by a great social think-tank concerning the issue of Divyang Children (physically and mentally retarded), unfortunately a neglected section of the society. The aim of the NGO was to establish an organisation dedicated to the cause of such children, providing them appropriate physiotherapy facility supported with special educator and speech therapist, and of-course the basic education and improving their personal hygiene. Also, the cause of Street Children and Women Empowerment is being pursued seriously. In pursuance of these objectives, Chetna Welfare Society has today emerged as pioneer organization in the city of Faridabad.
I take great pleasure and privilege of presenting before you the Annual Report of Chetna Welfare Society (Regd.) for the year 2015-2016. The current issue of Annual Report of Chetna is focused on highlighting the activities of the Chetna during the year 2015-16.
Chetna in its continued efforts to render excellent services to Divyang children, Street Cnilcrer and women from weaker section of the society, it completed another year of Commendabie performance during the year 2015-2016. Chetna, a service oriented NGO, continuously stnved to make children and women from poor segment of the society as self-dependent as possible and bring them in the main stream of the society. Nevertheless this performance has been achieved with the dedicated efforts of the Management Committee, the staff and the above all the respected donors and associates who extended assistance in all respects.
Following a lifecycle approach, Smile Foundation works intensively through focused welfare projects in four major areas – child education, healthcare for families, skills training and livelihood for youth, and community engagement through women empowerment.
